Abounding Grace
Words by Tasha Leighton-Sa’id, Camborne
I praise you in the morning, when creation is unblemished & new;
I praise you in the evening, when world's burdens hath done accrue
You are the rock on which I stand when the deathly waves around me swell;
And in Your reckless love, the cave acquitted in which I dwell.
Though evil once had me in its grips & by strongholds tightly bound;
For at once I was forever lost, until by Your Grace forever found.
In Your great love & sacrifice, You paid the abductor to set me free;
For at once I was forever blind, but now will forever see!
Even when walking defeated through the deepest, darkest valleys into death;
Upon Lion of Judah I assuredly find myself, receiving back abated breath.
I laugh with no fear of the future...as You are my provision, my Father, my King;
Under your shelter I rest safe & victorious,
Because even death has lost its sting.
Eternally I will praise You, my God, no matter what troubles shall I face;
On the highest mountain I shall stand & sing of Your boundless Amazing Grace.
